Pintail

Pintail is a limited company founded by two visionary serial entrepreneurs and have gathered a team of international experts, including some of Moroccan origin. Pintail benefits from the help of major organizations, in particular the International Organization for Migration and the World Bank and has renowned private stakeholders, including a bank and a re-insurer. Finally, Pintail is also supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Initially, Pintail is aimed at the Moroccan community but especially people remitting money from France to their dependents in Morocco. In 2018 the service will be extended to the entire Moroccan community in Europe and to other communities thereafter.
Pintail is a European electronic financial institution. It offers its customers new types of mobile based and affordable financial services. It relies on a secure banking platform and customers use an account opened via the Pintail mobile application. Pintail plans to offer a complete set of financial services tailor-made for its clients. Pintail is an ethical venture, fostering financial inclusion and does not aim to maximize its profit.
Pintail is part of a brand-new breed of financial institutions and offers financial services via a mobile application. The first service launched - payments - initially allows the transfer of money from France to Morocco (remittances) and from France to France (peer-to-peer). It is possible to withdraw all, or part of the amount received in cash in Morocco. In the near future, the service will allow customers to buy things in stores of all kinds as well as use Pintail to pay bills. Other, specially developed, financial services will then be offered.

Security

Nothing matters more than the security and privacy of our customers' data. Our well-known banking platform uses only state-of-the-art technologies that justify its 15-year leadership position with more than 600 installations worldwide. The Pintail application benefits from continuous encryption, 2-step authentication and a non-shared proprietary network. It is also protected by a PIN code. Entering an incorrect PIN 3 times in a row will cause the application to be locked. Unlocking can only be done by calling the Pintail Hotline.
The Pintail account complies with all applicable laws in the countries where the service is deployed and can be subject to maximum thresholds in these countries. Limitations, if they exist, are specified in the Pintail application. If these should not be sufficient, please contact the Pintail Hotline.

Account

You must be at least 18 years of age, be a resident of France or Morocco and hold either an Android phone fitted with a 4.4 operating system or later or an iOS phone fitted with a 9.2 operating system or later.

The Pintail account is opened via the Pintail application in just a few minutes.
The Pintail account complies with all applicable laws in the countries where the service is deployed and can be subject to maximum thresholds in these countries. Limitations, if they exist, are specified in the Pintail application. If these should not be sufficient, please contact the Pintail Hotline.

Cost

The Pintail application is free to download and has no advertising. Registration to the Pintail community costs 1 euro in Europe and 10 Dirham in Morocco per year. Transfers from France to Morocco cost 2 euros per transaction, whatever the amount, and local transfers cost 5 euro cents (France to France), regardless of the amount. Cash withdrawals are charged by the Pintail partners at preferential rates.
Transfers are made entirely via the Pintail application. The sender as well as the receiver must both install the Pintail application on their phone, and each must create an account via the application.

Mobile app

Pintail has been developed both for Android and Apple devices. Users must hold either an Android phone fitted with a 4.4 operating system or later or an iOS phone fitted with a 9.2 operating system or later.

The application is available on the Google Play Store as well as on Apple's App Store

Cash withdrawals are currently not possible in France.
Yes, in all Cash Plus branches in Morocco available at more than 1200 locations in the Kingdom. This service is charged at preferential rates.
The receiver in Morocco must first select to withdraw the desired amount in the Pintail application, which will produce a Cash Plus withdrawal code. He must then go to the Cash Plus branch of his choice in Morocco with his ID document and the code generated by the Pintail application to collect the money.

Security

The technology used to secure your data is such that your data remains entirely inaccessible in case of loss. Your balance is not stored on your phone but on our system, which is simply accessible via your phone. In this regard, be sure never to communicate your PIN to third parties. Please note that entering an incorrect PIN three times in a row will cause the application to lock. Unlocking is possible via the Pintail Hotline.

Your phone number is your login credential, to which your account is linked. You must keep your contact information up to date via the application and communicate any new mobile phone number to the Pintail Hotline.

Account

By simple a) transfer, online from your bank account or b) visiting your usual branch, with the IBAN number of the Pintail account, as found in the Pintail app, under Wallet/Top-up Wallet. In both cases, you must provide your mobile phone number, including the area code (for example, 0033123456789), which is a part of your credentials. It is imperative that you follow the above format for the telephone number without any space. Finally, you are obliged to use the same mobile phone number as that entered when you opened your account.
Only cash withdrawals are possible at first, but it will soon be possible to buy airtime for example. In the future, other services will be added.
Unsubscribing is done via the Pintail Hotline at any time during business hours. Unsubscribing is free and entails the reimbursement by Pintail of any remaining amount on the Pintail account at the time of unsubscribing. Of course, the user can settle their account by withdrawing the balance left on the account at any time.
